Before each session I like to take a little bit of time to get to know you. It's very important for me to get a feel for your personality & lifestyle, as well as what it is you expect from our time together - that way I know you'll be happy with the results. Session availability is very limited. I consider my time to be very valuable, and in turn consider our time together to be very valuable, that is why my goal is to not only provide you with quality photographs but a pleasant experience in the process as well.

As I am a natural light photographer, outdoor shoots are my personal preference. Of course, this is your session, & if you'd like an indoor shoot instead please let me know in advance, & be sure that the space you'd like to use is free of clutter and has a lot of natural (window) light. Weather can sometimes be a challenge, which is why I like to make a backup date "just incase".

All images are edited in both color & black and white. I personally love both - big, bold color is eye catching & fun, & black & white gives a beautiful traditional feel to any photograph. Because of this I'd recommend wearing bright, vibrant colors - they give the maximum impact in color photos & offer contrast from surroundings & skin tones in b&w. Matching colors work best for family shoots, that way there are no clashing or exposure issues.

This is all about capturing personality, so if your little one will not leave the house without 2 different colored socks & that fave stuffed animal, or your teen is permanently attached to that iPod, ... don't sweat it, we'll find a way to incorporate everything. Bring however many changes of clothing you want, toys, music, snacks, ... whatever you'd like.

Low resolution, copyright stamped proofs will be emailed within 2 weeks of the session date (I hand edit all images, & it takes time to get them just right). Prints will be available for pickup within 1 week of the order date. Payment for proofs is due by the time prints are ready for pickup.
